Until I can understand how to make a proper biographical text page on this website, this caption will have to do:
Born in 1964 and raised in San Luis Obispo, California, I've been an Anchorage, Alaska-based photographer and professional pilot since 2009. My work experience as a pilot in Alaska includes 10 years flying in the western part of the state, 1991-2001, with professional fixed-wing piloting dating to 1988; currently, I'm employed as a flight crew member for the Boeing 737 at an Anchorage-based all-cargo airline.
My primary focus as a photographer is the aerial landscape, most often from the viewpoint of a 1947 Luscombe Silvaire 8E I've owned since 2002. I am gradually branching towards UAS/drone based camera platform technology as an augmentation; however, for the foreseeable future, it appears that a conventional aircraft will continue to have the range and carrying capacity I need for the ground to be covered and photographic quality I demand.
Nearly all photography featured on the website is suitable for art-quality, archival large-format printing. With the exception of metal prints, all printing is done by myself. Most of my work is available for sale.
